Steph Ward of Forward Business Solutions has joined forces with ONEEV Group to encourage more women to make the switch to electric vehicles.
Steph is an award-winning entrepreneur as well as a mum and wife, who regularly travels across the UK for speaking engagements, networking events and corporate retreats.
Living in the Lincolnshire countryside, where driving is essential, Steph has embraced electric vehicle driving as a practical and forward-thinking solution to the demands of her lifestyle. Through her collaboration with ONEEV Group, Steph is sharing her experience of using the ONEEV app to simplify public charging while on the move, helping her save time and manage costs as she travels between commitments.
She said: “Life is busy, and I’m constantly on the go between family life and business. I needed something that worked with that, not against it. Switching to my Tesla Model 3 has genuinely made things easier. It’s more comfortable, more cost effective and fits naturally into my routine."
"The ONEEV app has been a big part of that," she continued. "There’s no range anxiety; I can quickly find charging points, see what’s available and choose the best option without wasting time. When your schedule is full, that kind of simplicity makes a huge difference.”
Steph regularly drives to London and other major cities for business opportunities, including mastermind groups and industry events. While long-distance travel was initially a concern, she says the reality has been seamless with the right tools in place. “It’s changed how I approach my time on the road,” she added. “I plan better, I build in breaks and I arrive feeling far less stressed. It’s not just about getting from A to B anymore, it actually supports how I work and live.”
The collaboration reflects a growing shift in how UK professionals are approaching travel, with electric vehicles becoming an increasingly viable option for those balancing demanding careers with family responsibilities.
Tim Moore, Co-Founder of ONEEV Group said: “We are seeing more drivers like Steph who need flexibility, reliability and simplicity when they are on the road. Our aim is to make public charging as straightforward as possible, giving drivers access to a wide network of charge points through one easy to use app. Steph’s story is a brilliant example of how EV driving can support real, everyday lifestyles, particularly for busy professionals who rely on their vehicles for both work and family life.”
For Steph, the benefits extend beyond business travel. As a family, they regularly enjoy days out and road trips across the countryside, with the comfort and quiet of an electric vehicle enhancing the experience. “As a mum, you’re always thinking about comfort and safety,” she said. “It just works for us as a family. And it feels good knowing we’re making a more conscious choice for the future as well.”
As more UK drivers consider making the switch, Steph hopes sharing her experience will encourage others, particularly women in business, to explore electric driving with confidence. “Don’t overthink it,” she added. “It’s far more straightforward than people expect, and with the right tools like ONEEV, it becomes part of your routine very quickly.”
