PJ Staffing and the Candlelighters Trust are delighted to announce the expansion of the Pink It Up Weekender 2026, running from Thursday 4 June to Sunday 7 June across Leeds, Harrogate and York.
This significant geographical expansion marks a major milestone for the company's commitment to supporting Yorkshire families affected by childhood cancer.
Building on the tremendous success of last year's fundraiser, which raised £7,000 across three days in Leeds alone, PJ Staffing is targeting over £10,000 this year. The 2026 campaign is particularly special, as it coincides with Candlelighters Trust's 50th anniversary, celebrating five decades of vital support for children and families across Yorkshire.
PJ Staffing entered into a three-year partnership with Candlelighters Trust in April 2025 as a Guardian supporter and has already raised an impressive £12,656.59 in its first year. This expansion to three cities demonstrates the company's genuine dedication to supporting families facing one of life's most challenging journeys.

Last year's Pink It Up Weekender demonstrated the extraordinary power of community support. Leeds City Council illuminated the Civic buildings in pink, The Queens Hotel and First Direct Arena participated, and seven local venues raised funds through a variety of activities.
This year, the expansion to Harrogate and York will extend that community spirit even further. In York, historic landmarks include Bar Walls, Clifford's Tower, Millennium Bridge, Bootham Bar and Micklegate Bar, with even more businesses across all three cities turning their establishments pink, organising raffle draws, creating specially priced pink cocktails and mocktails, and collecting donations.
